In order for you to fully enjoy your experience, we ask you to review our club customs and traditions. Should you have a question about any detail below, please speak with your host or a member of the club staff.


Golf Guests

Please proceed to the far North end of the clubhouse where you will see our bag drop at the Caddie House. Our service team will be waiting to retrieve your golf bag and prepare you for a great day of golf. We ask guests to take advantage of our locker rooms to change shoes or other attire.

Racquet Center Guests

Our Racquet Center is south of the main clubhouse, adjacent to our parking lot just South of Algonquin Lane. Please proceed to the Racquet Center and our service team will help you find your host.

Dress Requirements

Guests are required to wear appropriate, country-club attire at all times on club premises. Please review the guidelines below for each designated area of the club.

  • Clubhouse and Grounds Dress Policy
      • Men and boys must wear a collared shirt, tucked in with a belt.
      • Men and boys must remove their hats in all areas of the Clubhouse.
      • Men and boys should not wear open toed shoes in dining or gathering areas, other than the pool.
      • Golf hats must be worn with the bill facing forward in all areas, other than the pool.
      • No torn clothing is permitted.
      • We ask guests to take advantage of our locker rooms to change shoes or other attire. Changing of shoes is not permitted in the parking lot.
  • Dining Areas Dress Policy
    • Foyer, Living Room, Vestibule, Main Dining Room, Main Bar, Wine Room, and Top of the Green

      • Men should wear business, or business casual, attire.
      • After 5:00 p.m., jackets are required (tie optional) for gentlemen 16 years and older, in the Foyer, Living Room, Vestibule, and Main Dining Room. Members and their guests not wearing jackets after 5:00 p.m. should use the informal entry door to the left of the main
entrance.
      • Jackets are optional at any time in the Wine Room, Main Bar and Top of the Green.
      • Comparable appropriate club attire for women.
      • Not permitted: dress denim or blue jeans, shorts, athletic attire/shoes.

      Member’s Grill and 19th Hole/Patio

      • Although denim and blue jeans are allowed, the 19th Hole/Patio and Members Grill are dressy casual
      • Dark colored, white and blue denim pants which do not have tears or excessive fading are allowed and should be worn with non-athletic footwear.
      • Not permitted: other denim apparel including jackets and shorts, non-golf athletic attire, and swimwear.

      Access: Members and their guests wearing denim pants, blue jeans, golf attire, or men not wearing jackets after 5:00 p.m. should not use the Club's main entrance. The 19th Hole/Patio can be accessed through the informal entry door to the left of the main entrance and the informal stairwell. The Grill should be accessed through the north Grill entrance.

  • Golf Course, Practice Range, and Putting Green Dress Policy
      • Gentlemen must wear sport slacks or walking shorts with at least an 8-inch inseam.
      • Ladies must wear golf pants, skirts or walking shorts with at least a 6-inch inseam. Tank and tennis tops without a collar are not permitted.
      • Children must dress comparable to adults, but with adjustments as appropriate for the size of the child.
  • Racquet Center Dress Policy
      • Shoes must have soles appropriate for court play. Running shoes are not permitted on court surfaces.
      • Not permitted: non-athletic t-shirts, tank tops, blue jeans, swimwear, cut-off shorts, running shorts, team jerseys or uniforms.
  • Pool Dress Policy
      • Swimming attire should be modest and appropriate for a family friendly environment.
      • Cover-ups are required at the pool bar and in the parking lot.
      • Not permitted: blue jeans, denim, or cut-off shorts.
  • Mobile Device Policy
    • The use of non-audible devices is permitted throughout the Clubhouse and grounds. While we allow usage on our golf course, in the locker rooms, pool and tennis areas, and parking lots, we ask for discretion and sensitive consideration of other members and guests. Members and their guests are prohibited from using the camera component of mobile devices while in the clubhouse and pool locker rooms.

  • Smoking Policy
    • All indoor facilities and the swimming pool at Algonquin Golf Club are smoke free. Smoking is permitted on the terrace, veranda, on the patio outside of the Algonquin Grill and on the golf course. Our smoking policy also applies to vaping.
